UEFA fitness B course at the Malta FA technical centre

The Malta FA Coach Education Department was selected by UEFA as one of five countries to host the UEFA Fitness B pilot course, chosen from over 35 applications.

Commencing last week, the pilot course accommodated 12 participants and encompassed over 120 hours of both practical and theoretical sessions centered around current football fitness concepts and methodologies.

The first module was further enriched by the participation of UEFA Fitness advisor Chris Barnes, who, alongside Malta FA head of performance Luca Pagani and his team, conducted several sessions during the course.

This course will enable the participating coaches to eventually have the highest certification in football fitness coaching and equip them to serve not only as football fitness coaches in the Malta Premier League and Malta Challenge League but also in any country falling under UEFA jurisdiction.

This is the 4th new course launched by the Malta FA Coach Education Department in the last 5 years and will continue to improve and equip better the coaching workforce in Maltese football.
