Giacomo Modica the Hamrun Spartans coach is hopeful of a good performance of his team ahead of tomorrow’s MD2 Conference League match against Swiss team Lausanne.
He said that he has no injury problems as all his players will be availabnle for the final selection ahead of Thursday’s 21:00hrs kick off at Ta’ Qali.
Hamrun Spartans Football Club head coach Giacomo Modica and Vincenzo Polito were addressing the media ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA Europa Conference League clash against FC Lausanne-Sport.
Modica expressed his excitement for the team’s first home match in the group stage, stating that he “can’t wait to dedicate this moment to the Ħamrun supporters.”
When asked during the press conference if he thinks that opponents FC Lausanne-Sport will play with a typical flat 4 defense he said that from the analysis made it seems that this is the preferred method of play of the Swiss team. He added ‘I honestly do not see Lausanne play differently’
Lausanne Sport were held in a 2-2 draw against FC Luzern last weekend and they fielded a 4-1-2-3 tactical line up.
Vincenzo Polito said he was eager to play in front of the Ħamrun fans tomorrow and he said he was hopeful as well of a good showing despite knowing the technical capabilities of the opponents.
At the end of the presser Carlo Ciscaldi Head of Communications at Ħamrun Spartans confirmed that there are some tickets still available for sale in the West C stand. he confirmed that around 500 Swiss fans were making their way to Malta for the match.
