The Ħamrun Spartans contingent have finally arrived safely in the Faroe Islands. It was a very long and complicated trip that has been hit with long delays, and unexpected landing and one night overlay in Norway followed by two failed initial landing attempts at the Vagar Airport.
As things stand, tonight’s UEFA Conference League first qualifying round, first-leg clash against NSÍ Runavík remains scheduled to kick off at 20:45 CET.
It is not yet known whether Ħamrun Spartans will request a delayed kick-off at least by a couple of hours to allow their players sufficient time to rest and prepare properly after their delayed arrival and complicated journey.
