After a goalless first half, the contest appeared destined to finish without a goal until a dramatic period of stoppage time.

Drita broke the deadlock in the 90+4 minute, when Liridon Balaj found the net to give the Kosovan side a late advantage.

Floriana responded five minutes later through Amar Drina, who scored in the 90+9 minute to rescue a draw for the Greens.ż

The late equaliser ensured Floriana avoided defeat and left the tie finely balanced ahead of the return leg.

Despite the unusual interruptions caused by the power failures, Floriana showed resilience to keep pushing until the final whistle and were rewarded with an important equaliser deep into added time.

The two sides will now meet again with everything still to play for and a place in the next qualifying round at stake.
