Tottenham Hotspur’s captain and goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, will be out for the rest of the season due to a thigh injury, as confirmed by the team’s coach, Ryan Mason, earlier today.
The French player has not been able to play since April 23rd, when he was substituted at half-time in the Premier League match against Newcastle.
Currently, the London team has not won any of their last four games, and they still have four more rounds to play until the end of the championship.
“Lloris’ season has ended. We ran further tests and the results are disappointing,” said Mason.
This will come as a huge blow to Tottenham’s hopes of finishing in a European spot, as Lloris is one of their key players. It remains to be seen how they will cope in his absence.
