Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has confirmed that he is close to signing a contract renewal with the Spanish and European champions.
The German’s existing deal at Bernabeu is due to expire at the end of June, but he has expressed his desire to stay with the club.
Despite speculation surrounding his future, Kroos has been a vital player for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season, making 41 appearances and contributing two goals and five assists. His impressive performances have reportedly convinced Real Madrid to offer him a contract extension until 2024, which he is expected to sign soon.
