Manchester United’s football players, with their victory over Chelsea (4:1) in the late 32nd round of the Premier League, secured a position that guarantees a place in the Champions League next season, and manager Erik Ten Hag points out that the club is back where it belongs.
With this victory, United reached 72 points and overtook the Newcastle team in third position, which currently has two points less.
Liverpool’s last hope of threatening the “red devils” and reaching the fourth position was extinguished.
“This club belongs to the Champions League. Placing among the four best teams in the championship was the main goal. The competition is tough, there are many clubs with very good teams, good coaches and big budgets. This is currently the maximum, but we want more and I don’t have much patience. “Manchester City plays outstanding football, but we have a lot more,” said Ten Hag.
The next goal of the Dutch coach’s team is to win the FA Cup, where they will play against Manchester City in the final.
“This is a good basis to build on, but the standards and requirements must be higher. We have to work with this team during the summer, but we also have to strengthen ourselves in the transfer window. We want to compete for the title, but it has to be realistic. Now we are far away and we have a lot of work to do, but we need better players if we want to compete at the highest level,” said Ten Hag.
The FA Cup final is scheduled for June 3 at “Wembley” from 4 p.m.
