TEN HAG IS NOT INTERESTED IN FULAM: We played more matches than all clubs in Europe

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag did not want to comment on the opponent after the 3:1 victory over Fulham in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at Old Trafford.

Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the leading goal for Fulham, but he made contact with the referee while protesting after the penalty awarded to United and the red card for Willian, so the Serbian striker also received a red card.

Manager Marco Silva was also sent red, and by the end Manchester was winning with a score of 3:1.

“I wouldn’t like to emphasize anything here. It was a great counter, great job, Antoni played smartly with Jajdon Sancho, who deceived the goalkeeper. Everything was clear, everyone saw the sleight of hand. The penalty was clean, obvious. For everything after that, I have no comment. It’s not about my team, I wouldn’t want to talk about the opponent. Since they stayed with nine, we finished the job well”, says Ten Hag.

The Dutch expert underlined that his team showed strong character again.

“It wasn’t easy, we played the most matches, more than all the clubs in Europe. Every third day on the field and every time we showed resilience and determination to win. Today was difficult, but we didn’t expect anything else because Fulham is a good team and you have to be strong to beat them. We were decent in the first half, we could have been better on the ball. We had good transitions in the attack and we should have gone to the break to have a goal or two advantage. In the second, we lost a bit of control, David saved us with great defenses, and then came that counter from Antonio and Sancho”, said Ten Hag.
