STELLINI WAS REPLACED: Tottenham has a new coach

Antonio Conte’s recent assistant on the Tottenham bench, Christian Stellini, was dismissed after the convincing defeat at “St. James’ Park”, and Ryan Mason, who has been in the coaching staff until now, will take his place, Daniel Levy confirmed.

The first man of the club from London made a statement today after the dismissal of Stellini. “Dear All, The way we played the game on Sunday against Newcastle is completely unacceptable. It was hard to watch. We can look for numerous reasons why it happened, but I, the Board, coaches and players must collectively take responsibility, and the biggest responsibility is mine.

Stellini will leave his current role along with the coaching staff. He stepped up at a difficult moment in the season and I want to thank him for that because he behaved professionally and he and his colleagues did their best during this period. We wish them all the best.

Ryan Mason will take over as head coach, effective immediately. Ryan knows the club and the players. We will inform you later about who his collaborators will be. I had a meeting with the players association today, everyone is determined to do everything together to make the end of the season as successful as possible. It is clear to all of us that we have to be up to the task, Daniel”.

Tottenham now face games against Manchester United in London and Liverpool at Anfield, so they face a tough fight for the Europa League and Champions League places. There are still six games left to play in the Premier League until the end of the season.
