SOUTHGATE FORGIVENES FAILURES: England coach remains on the bench after the debacle from Hungary!

The Football Association of England (FA) provided support and assured coach Gareth Southgate that his position is secure, after poor results in the League of Nations.

England won only two points in four League of Nations matches in June, and among other things, they were defeated by Hungary 4-0 at home.

Southgate has been England’s coach since 2016, and this is his longest winless streak. However, he will remain in that position and will lead the national team at the World Cup in Qatar at the end of November.

With the national team, he reached the semifinals of the 2018 World Cup (for the first time in 28 years), and at last year’s European Championship, they were defeated in the final by Italy after a penalty.

England is in the last fourth place in Group 3 A of the League of Nations division, and is three points behind third-placed Italy.

Before the start of the World Cup, England will play two more matches against Italy and Germany in September.

The World Cup in Qatar is on the program from November 21 to December 18.
