Torino are considering appointing Gennaro Gattuso as their new head coach in Serie A, according to reports.
Gattuso stepped down as Italy manager at the start of April after the national side failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. A penalty shootout defeat against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the play-offs proved to be the final straw for the 48 year old, who had been in the job for just nine months after being appointed in June 2025.

Less than a month after leaving the Italy role, Gattuso is reportedly already being lined up for his next position. Italian outlet Tuttosport claims that Torino are keen to bring in the former AC Milan midfielder to replace Roberto D’Aversa.
Should the move go ahead, the club are said to be ready to offer him a three year contract at the Stadio Olimpico Grande. Club president Urbano Cairo is reported to be a big admirer of Gattuso.
It has been a frustrating season for Torino, who currently sit 13th in Serie A, a massive 21 points adrift of a European place.
