Christian Pulisic scored twice as AC Milan came from 2–0 down to beat Torino 3-2 and move back to the top of Serie A. The win also extends Milan’s unbeaten league run to 13 matches.
Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri watched from the stands as he served a touchline ban, and he will not have enjoyed the start. Torino took the lead after Fikayo Tomori handled the ball while challenging Ché Adams in the box. Mike Maignan got a hand to Nikola Vlašić’s penalty, but couldn’t keep it out.
Seven minutes later, Vlašić set up Duván Zapata, whose powerful shot went straight through Maignan to make it 2-0. Zapata has now scored eight times against Milan, including three goals in his last three starts for Torino.
Milan needed a spark, and Adrien Rabiot provided one. In the 24th minute, he picked up the ball in space and struck a superb dipping shot into the top corner, giving goalkeeper Franco Israel no chance.
The visitors started the second half strongly, and Israel kept Torino ahead with an excellent double save 10 minutes after the break. But Milan equalised soon after. Pulisic had only just come onto the pitch when a cross fell to him in the 67th minute, and he calmly finished from close range for his sixth league goal of the season.
Milan pushed for a winner, and Pulisic delivered again 10 minutes later. Samuele Ricci raced down the right and sent in a perfect cross, which Pulisic fired home to complete the comeback and move joint-top of the Serie A scoring charts.
Milan end the weekend back on top of the table on goal difference ahead of Napoli. Torino remain 16th, with their winless run in the league now stretching to six games.
