Napoli have confirmed the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as their new head coach, replacing Antonio Conte at the Serie A club.
The 58-year-old has signed a contract running until 2029 and takes over after Conte’s departure at the end of the 2025–26 season.
Allegri returns to management following his exit from AC Milan, where he was dismissed after the club failed to secure Champions League qualification. He was quickly identified as a leading candidate for the Napoli role following Conte’s exit.
Conte leaves after guiding Napoli through a successful spell that included a Serie A title win in the 2024–25 campaign, before a second-place finish in the following season.
Allegri brings extensive experience from previous spells in Italian football, having won multiple league titles with Juventus and a Serie A championship with Milan earlier in his career.
Napoli view his appointment as the start of a new cycle, with the club aiming to continue competing at the top level domestically and in European competition.
