The first weekend of matches for the 2024/25 Serie A promises to be quite an interesting one. As in last season, Inter are the runaway favourites having confirmed players such as Lautaro Martinez and Hakim Cananoglu in their line-up. They start away against Genoa but should garner the three points with some ease.
AC Milan have also spent heavily in the transfer window and have acquired such luminaries as Spain’s captain Alvaro Morata and will face Torino on Saturday. High fliers Bologna face off against Udinese whilst Napoli have a tricky away fixture against Verona whilst Roma are also in Sardegna to face Cagliari.
Finally on Monday, newly promoted Como who are also aiming high this season play at home against Juventus who will be raring to put their past seasons behind them and get back to winning ways. Other matches of interest include the Tuscany derby between Parma and Fiorentina as well
