Inter lead Serie A TV rights earnings with €80.2m

The distribution of Serie A television rights revenue for the 2025-26 season has been finalised, with Inter receiving the largest share after winning the Italian championship. The Nerazzurri are the only club to surpass €80 million, receiving €80.2 million from the league’s audiovisual rights.

The total gross revenue generated by Serie A’s domestic and international television rights reached €1.144 billion during the season. After deductions for solidarity payments, relegation parachute payments and the contribution to Italy’s communications regulator, €878.5 million remained available for distribution among the 20 clubs. This represented a decrease of around €20 million compared with the previous season.

The distribution system is based on several factors. Half of the available amount is divided equally between the clubs, while 28% is linked to sporting performance. This includes results from the most recent season, performances across the previous five campaigns and the clubs’ historical achievements.

The remaining 22% is connected to what is described as each club’s social following. This takes into account factors including stadium attendance, television audiences and the number of minutes played by young Italian players.

Milan finished second in the revenue rankings despite ending the league season in fifth place, receiving €72.1 million. Their strong figures were helped by the club’s ticket and season-ticket revenue, which contributed €17.2 million to their overall distribution.

Napoli were third with €67.2 million, while Juventus received €63.1 million and Roma €62.9 million. Juventus’ sixth-place league finish affected their earnings from recent sporting results, although they benefited from having the highest figure for minutes played by young players.

Among the other leading clubs, Lazio collected €51.4 million, followed by Fiorentina on €45.4 million, Atalanta on €43.8 million and Bologna on €42.8 million.

Como received €40.2 million after an impressive campaign that saw them qualify for the Champions League. Torino followed with €37.9 million, while Genoa earned €35.4 million and Udinese €33.1 million.

Further down the table, Lecce received €32.2 million, Cagliari €31 million, Verona €30.8 million, Sassuolo €29.9 million and Parma €29.6 million.

The lowest amounts went to the relegated clubs, with Cremonese receiving €25.5 million and Pisa €24 million.

The figures demonstrate how sporting performance, historical success, fan engagement and youth development can all influence the amount each Serie A club receives from television rights.
