Inter complete signing of Anan Khalaili from Union Saint-Gilloise

Inter have completed the signing of Israeli winger Anan Khalaili from Belgian champions Union Saint-Gilloise in a deal worth an initial €25 million plus bonuses.

The 21-year-old arrived in Milan on Friday to undergo his medical examinations and complete the formalities before signing a five-year contract with the Nerazzurri.

Khalaili is expected to earn around €1.8 million per season, with his salary rising to approximately €2.2 million over the duration of the deal.

The transfer comes after lengthy negotiations between the two clubs. Union Saint-Gilloise had initially valued the player at €30 million, rejecting Inter’s opening offers of €20 million plus bonuses and €23 million plus bonuses before accepting the Italian club’s improved third bid.

The highly-rated winger is expected to replace Denzel Dumfries on the right flank as Inter continue reshaping their squad ahead of the new Serie A campaign.

Khalaili also hinted that the move was imminent by posting a picture from the private jet taking him to Milan on his Instagram account, accompanied by the caption: “I’m coming.”
