Alessandro Bastoni has no intention of leaving Inter despite renewed speculation linking him with a move to Al Hilal, according to his agent Tullio Tinti.
Speaking to Sky Sport, Tinti dismissed suggestions that the Italian defender is considering a switch to Saudi Arabia, despite the presence of former Inter coach Simone Inzaghi at Al Hilal.
“Bastoni still has two years left on his contract with Inter. He is a huge Inter supporter and is deeply attached to this club. At this moment, he is not thinking about leaving Italy or joining another team,” Tinti said.
The agent acknowledged that interest from other clubs is natural but stressed that no concrete negotiations are underway.
“We respect contracts. If a club comes forward with an offer that satisfies both Inter and the player, then discussions can take place. But at the moment, there is nothing serious enough to start negotiations.”
Tinti also reflected on a difficult spell Bastoni endured last season, particularly following the controversial incident involving Pierre Kalulu during the clash against Juventus and the defender’s subsequent dismissal for Italy against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“I think Bastoni suffered an injustice. If VAR had been allowed to review yellow-card incidents, he would have received only a booking and Kalulu’s caution would have been overturned. The problem was the regulations, not the player.”
Despite the criticism and setbacks, Tinti praised Bastoni’s character.
“He has great personality and a genuine love for the Inter shirt. There are good moments and difficult ones in football, but he managed to come through a challenging period with strength and maturity.”
Bastoni remains a key figure in Inter’s plans, with the club having no indication that the Italy international is seeking a move away this summer.
