One of the best footballers in the history of English football, Wayne Rooney, was delighted with Lionel Messi’s performance in Argentina’s triumph over Croatia.
For the umpteenth time, Lionel Messi has charmed the world, and what is factual is that he is playing the best World Cup in his career. The legendary English football player, and now the coach of the American D.C. United, Wayne Rooney shared his post on Twitter that he wrote back in 2012.
“Mesi is a joke. For me, the best ever,” Rooney wrote ten years ago, and now he just added:
“Nothing has changed”.
The Englishman wrote his first post in March 2012, when the Argentine scored five goals in the Champions League match between Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen.
Messi is playing the last World Cup in his career in Qatar and for the second time he came within a step of the win it, eight years ago in Brazil he was stopped by Germany, i.e. Mario Gotze’s goal.
