RONALDO SAVED SOLSKJAER: United swiped Tottenham in a new formation!

Manchester United managed to beat Tottenham in the derby of the 10th round of the Premier League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer escaped another “bullet”, and the savior of the Norwegian was Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese gave the guests the advantage in the 39th minute. Fernandez sent an excellent cross shot, and Ronaldo gave the guest the advantage with a great volley, almost from a dead angle, from the right side.

Tottenham had two great chances in the first half, but they did not manage to use them. Son had a one-on-one situation with De Gea in the 34th minute, however, the Korean hesitated too much, which allowed Wan-Bissaka to come back and intervene brilliantly.

Giovanni Lo Celso had a second chance at the very end of the first half, but his header from the corner ended up over the crossbar.

In the second half, Tottenham showed absolutely nothing, and Manchester United knew how to punish that.

After Oliver Skipp lost the ball in the middle of the field, a counter for the “devils” opened, and after a great assist by Ronaldo, Cavani routinely defeated Lloris.

With today’s goal and assist, Ronaldo became the oldest player in the Premier League who managed to record such a performance.

The final result of the match was set by Marcus Rashford in the 86th minute of the match, after the assist of Nemanja Matic.

In the second half, Tottenham looked completely without ideas, so Manchester United deservedly celebrated the victory with the result 3: 0.

Ole Gunar Solskjaer shuffled the cards before this match, so the “red devils” started in a new 3-4-1-2 formation.

The defensive line consisted of McGuire, Lindelof and Varane, Shaw and Wan-Bissaka acted as outside defenders, Fred and McTominay filled the middle of the field, Fernandes played as an offensive midfielder, while Cavani and Ronaldo were two outgoing players.

This was Tottenham’s fifth defeat of the season, and the duel between Wolverhampton and Everon will decide whether Tottenham falls to ninth place on the table. Also, an interesting fact is that Tottenham didn’t draw any this season.

After this defeat, the bench of Nuno Espirito Santo was seriously shaken, and whether the Portuguese will stay on the bench of the team from London, time will tell.

In the next round of the Premier League, Manchester United will play a city derby with City, while Tottenham will visit Everton.
