Cristiano Ronaldo breaks another record

Portugal footballer Cristiano Ronaldo will most likely become the record holder for the number of games played by one player for the national team on Thursday.

Coach Roberto Martinez called him for the 2024 European Championship qualifiers in Germany.

If Ronaldo takes the field against Littenstein on Thursday, he will become the player with the most caps for the national team in history. He currently shares the record with Kuwait’s national team player Badrp Al-Mutawa, they played the same number of games for their national teams, 196 each.

Cristiano made his debut for Portugal in 2003 when he was 18 years old in a friendly match against Kazakhstan when he came on in place of the legendary Luis Figo.

After the match with Liechtenstein, Portugal expects another match in the qualifiers, and their rival is Luxembourg.
