Roma are set to welcome Rodrigo Mora to the Italian capital as the Portuguese attacking winger prepares to complete his move from Porto.
Mora is expected to arrive in Rome this afternoon for his first day with the Giallorossi. His schedule includes a medical examination, fitness tests and the final formalities needed to complete his transfer before signing his new contract with the club.
Roma have reportedly agreed a deal worth €25 million, with Porto also retaining a 50 per cent sell-on clause. However, the agreement gives Roma the option to remove that clause by paying a further €25 million next summer, which would effectively bring the total cost of the transfer to €50 million — the valuation Porto had placed on the youngster.
The move represents an important investment for Roma, who have moved quickly to secure one of Portugal’s most promising attacking talents. Mora and his family had reportedly been pushing for the transfer, while Roma’s management worked to bring the negotiations to a successful conclusion.
Mora’s arrival also represents another significant addition to Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad as Roma look to build a team capable of competing at the highest level in the coming season.
