Robert Micallef steps down as President of Santa Lucia FC

Robert Micallef announced that he has stepped down from President of Santa Lucia FC. In a quite lengthy Facebook post, Micallef said that the decision was taken due to personal and various reasons.

“As of today, I am no longer the President of Santa Lucia FC, a decision that was both difficult and necessary due to personal and various reasons. Over the past four years, our time in the top tier has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows, but it has been an invaluable journey of personal growth and learning for me”, Micallef said.

“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve my hometown team, always striving to do my best and cherishing every moment. My heartfelt thanks go out to the committee members, the dedicated players, and the talented coaches I had the privilege to work alongside. Special thanks to our supporters, who, despite being few in number, consistently showed immense heart and unwavering support”.

Micallef said that he had every confidence that the new committee will successfully guide the club back to where it truly belongs. “I will always treasure the memories and experiences from my time with Santa Lucia FC”, he concluded.

Finally, Micallef thanked his family ad close friends for always being with him, offering their unwavering support and encouragement throughout his tenure. “Your belief in me has been a constant source of strength and inspiration. Thank you for being there every step of the way”, Micallef stated.
