Cristiano Ronaldo, the legendary footballer currently playing for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, may be returning to Real Madrid soon – not as a player, but as an ambassador.
According to reports, the President of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, recently contacted Ronaldo with an offer to become the club’s global ambassador after he retires from football. If he accepts the offer, Ronaldo’s bank account will likely become even richer.
Ronaldo has previously expressed a desire to return to Madrid as a player in 2021, but Perez did not give the green light and he went on to join Manchester United. However, this time it seems the deal is close and Ronaldo will be able to play a significant role in promoting Real Madrid around the world.
The Portuguese superstar is currently having a successful stint in Saudi Arabia, scoring 11 goals in 11 matches and providing two assists. While the level of competition may not be as high as in Europe, Ronaldo is still proving his worth.
It remains to be seen when Ronaldo will retire from football, but it’s clear that his star power will continue to shine long after he hangs up his boots.
