French prosecutors have requested prison sentences of up to 10 years for three men accused of involvement in the violent 2023 burglary of Gianluigi Donnarumma’s Paris home.
The Manchester City goalkeeper, who was playing for Paris Saint-Germain at the time, and his partner Alessia Elefante were bound and threatened after masked intruders entered their luxury apartment on Avenue Montaigne in July 2023.
The Paris Criminal Court heard that four masked men entered the ninth-floor property via the rooftops during the early hours before holding the couple captive.

The gang escaped with cash, jewellery, watches and luxury bags. Donnarumma estimated the value of the stolen property at just under €1 million.
Prosecutors are seeking sentences ranging from four to 10 years for the three defendants accused of organising or participating in the burglary.
The longest sentence, 10 years, has been requested for 21-year-old Ilyas Kherbouch. Prosecutors are also seeking nine years for Khyan M., 22, and six years for Moktar D.
Kherbouch and Khyan M. are suspected of helping orchestrate the operation while in prison. Both have denied involvement despite prosecutors presenting messages and images recovered from phones allegedly used while they were in custody.
Moktar D., described as the only defendant who was at the scene, told the court that he acted only as a lookout from a nearby building.
The court also heard that Elefante, who was pregnant at the time, later suffered a miscarriage which was attributed to the trauma of the attack.
Prosecutors described this type of high-profile burglary as increasingly lucrative and violent, with wealthy and well-known individuals becoming targets in exclusive areas of Paris.
Donnarumma subsequently left PSG and joined Manchester City in 2025.
