PSG footballer Neymar underwent a successful surgery in Qatar, the French club announced.
The 31-year-old Brazilian injured his right ankle in a league match against Lille on February 19. He was successfully operated on in Doha today, and now he has a long recovery – according to forecasts, he will be out of action for at least four months.
‘Neymar underwent surgery in Doha and everything went very well. Now he has a long recovery ahead of him and we hope that he will come back even stronger,’ the club announced.
His injuries have become more frequent since he moved to PSG in 2017 for a then-record 222 million euros. Due to injuries and suspensions, he missed more than a hundred matches of his club.
