Napoli make McTominay untouchable amid Premier League interest

Napoli have reportedly made it clear that Scott McTominay is not for sale despite growing interest from Premier League clubs following another impressive campaign in Italy.

The Scotland international, who joined the Serie A champions from Manchester United in 2024, has become one of the club’s key players and remains under contract until 2028. Napoli are now said to be planning contract talks to extend his stay rather than entertain offers for the midfielder.

McTominay enjoyed a remarkable debut season in Naples, helping Antonio Conte’s side win the Serie A title while earning the league’s Most Valuable Player award. His performances have attracted attention from clubs across Europe, fuelling speculation over a possible return to England.

Despite the transfer rumours, Napoli have taken a firm stance over the 29-year-old’s future, viewing him as a cornerstone of the squad and unwilling to consider offers for his signature.

Manchester United have also been linked with midfield reinforcements, but reports suggest a move to bring academy graduate McTominay back to Old Trafford is not currently being pursued, with the club instead targeting younger midfield options.
