The coach of the German football team, Julian Nagelsmann, after his team’s defeat against Austria, pointed out that the team has a big job ahead of them.
Germany was defeated by Austria, thus tying the third consecutive match without a win.
“I don’t think the players don’t understand how big the stake is. I don’t feel we are playing freely. We are united in training, but when the game starts, the players are lone fighters on the field. We have a lot of work to do. Now we have to accept the situation. We have to accept that there is simply an incredible amount of work ahead of us – in all positions. The coaches have to accept it, the players also have to accept it,” said coach Julian Nagelsmann.
Germany conceded 22 goals in 11 friendly matches, and the “Panthers” achieved three victories, two draws and as many as six defeats.
“We are not defensive monsters. We won’t be like that next summer either. It’s not us. Our players play in clubs where they focus less on defense and more on attack. But if you lose the ball cheaply, then you’re in trouble,” emphasized Nagelsmann.
