The International Federation for Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) announced the names of the 10 footballers who played the most games in the 21st century – among them is Modrić
Cristiano Ronaldo played by far the most games in the 21st century! The Portuguese made as many as 1145 appearances, of which 651 matches were in league matches, 93 in cups, 2015 in international club matches, and 196 for the Portuguese national team!
Besides him, only two other players have played over 1000 games in this century – they are the Brazilian Dani Alves (1033) and the current ruler of world football, Lionel Messi (1004).
Among the 10 is Luka Modrić. The Croatian superstar and ace of Real Madrid played 947 games and ranks seventh on the list.
