In the last round of the group stage of the Europa League, Monaco beat Red Star (4:1) and in that way won their place in the knockout stage.
In the deciding match, Monaco simply blew away the Serbian champion who was completely powerless.
“Princes” were led to victory by Kevin Volland, who scored a hat-trick, while Rodic scored an own goal.
Kanga scored the only goal for Red Star.
In the second match of the group, Trabzonspor defeated Ferencvaros 1:0, so they will continue their European journey in the Conference League.
Rome’s Lazio, which was defeated by Feyenoord 1:0 in Rotterdam, will also play there.
The Dutch and Italians, as well as Midtjylland and Sturm finished the group stage with eight points, but Feyenoord and the Danish representative will go further due to goal difference.
Real Sociedad and Manchester United from Group E, Freiburg and Nantes (Group G) will be in the knockout phase.
