MESSI'S BLACKMAIL: He wants to stay in Paris, but he wants more money

PSG footballer Lionel Messi wants to extend his contract with the French club on the condition that he gets a salary increase, Parisien reports.

Messi has a contract with the champion of France until the end of the season, but he has not yet decided whether he will continue his career at the “Parc des Princes” or whether he will change the environment.

The Argentinian footballer has offered to extend his cooperation with the “saints”, and he reportedly rejected offers from Al Hilal, Inter from Miami and Barcelona.

“Problems with extending the contract arose after the World Cup in Qatar. He became the world champion with Argentina, and then he came to Paris with a request for a salary increase, as one of the main conditions for continued cooperation.

PSG does not agree to his blackmail, but the club’s management is ready to extend the cooperation under the same conditions as in the previous contract,’ says Parisien, adding that Messi earns around 40 million euros a year at the French club.

The media in France state that Messi wants to know what the team will look like next season and who will be the new coach since Galtier will almost certainly be fired.

Lionel arrived in Paris in 2021 from Barcelona, and this season he scored 20 goals in 36 games played in all competitions.
