Zabbar face Hamrun in the only all-Premier clash this evening

Tonight’s Round of 16 matches in the Meridianbet FA Trophy promise plenty of excitement, with several intriguing matchups on the cards.

First up, Gzira United face Challenge League leaders Valletta at 6:00 PM at the National Stadium. This could be a tricky tie for the Maroons, as Valletta have been dominant in their league and are strong contenders for promotion. Gzira will need to be at their best to avoid an upset in what could prove a tough encounter.

At the same time, Sliema Wanderers take on Marsa at 6:15 PM at the Centenary Stadium. Marsa, who are second in the Challenge League, will be eager to continue their push for promotion, sitting just 7 points behind leaders Valletta. With an important league match against Valletta coming up this Sunday, Marsa will be hoping to keep their momentum going in this cup clash.

The only all-Premier League match of the evening takes place at 8:30 PM at the National Stadium, where Zabbar St. Patrick take on Hamrun Spartans. While the Spartans are clear favourites to progress, Zabbar have been showing signs of improvement under new coach Aniello Parisi and will be aiming to cause an upset.

Finally, Mosta are heavy favourites to win their tie against Amateur League side Qrendi at 8:45 PM at the Centenary Stadium. Mosta are in good form after a recent league win against rivals Naxxar, while Qrendi are coming from a defeat to San Gwann in their last league match.
