Mosta managed to advance to the quarter-finals of the Meridianbet FA Trophy after defeating Qrendi 4-0.
They only needed a minute to take the lead when Junior Chukwuemeka Eke, playing in a central position, beat Qrendi’s goalkeeper Miguel Abela. In the 24th minute, a cross from the left and a header from Leonardo Andrade narrowly missed the target for Qrendi. In the 31st minute, Mosta responded with a freekick from Nathan Agius, but Abela was able to save it. In the 30th minute, Jamie Scerri received a good pass and with a shot from the box, the ball found its way into the net. In the 39th minute, it was Jamie Scerri again for Mosta, who passed to Salomo Ojala, who scored from close range. The first half ended with Mosta leading 3-0.
In the second half, Mosta scored their fourth goal through Souleymane Kone. Kone had the opportunity to score twice more in the 85th and 86th minutes, but was unlucky as he hit the post both times.
