Lotar Mateus, former German football player and current coach, told the leaders of Bayern Munich to bring in Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo during the transfer window.
According to Spanish and Portuguese media, Cristiano did not appear at the English club at the beginning of preparations for the new season.
Ronaldo’s desire is to play in the Champions League, and offers for this footballer are coming from all over.
Among the clubs that are interested in him are Bayern, Roma, Chelsea, Barcelona.
“Bayern could invest money in Ronaldo if they sell Robert Lewandowski and if they think that the Portuguese footballer is physically ready to help the club for one or two years. If I were in Bayern, I would consider that possibility, since Cristiano is a great scorer. Of course, this is not about reinforcement for the future. He is 37 years old, but he could play in the starting lineup. Ronaldo is one of the best strikers of all time and it is certain that he could score around 30 goals in one season,” said Mateus.
During his career, the former footballer wore the Bayern jersey from 1984 to 1988, and then from 1992 to 2000.
