The police attacked Argentina fans at the “Maracana” stadium, and after several fans were injured, the players of both national teams reacted.
“We were worried about the families, women and children we saw panicking in the stands. On the field, it was difficult for us to understand what was happening, the situation was terrifying,” Marquinhossaid.
Brazil experienced its first defeat in the World Cup qualifiers against Argentina, and the only goal was scored by Otamendi.
Argentina is currently first in the table with 15 points, while Brazil has eight points less.
