Valletta FC have completed the signing of Croatian midfielder Roko Prša, 30, making him their first acquisition of the summer transfer window.
Prša has spent the last four years in Malta, having joined Ħamrun Spartans in 2021 where he enjoyed considerable success, winning two league titles and a Super Cup. After three years with the Spartans, he moved to Sliema Wanderers last season, though it proved to be a difficult campaign as the Blues failed to challenge for any major honour.
The Croatian arrives at the Grandstand with a well-travelled footballing background. He came through the youth ranks at HNK Segesta Sisak and NK Zagreb before joining GNK Dinamo Zagreb, from where he was loaned to NK Rudeš. He subsequently had stints with Segesta Sisak, Inter Zaprešić and NK Jaška Vinogradar Jastrebarsko before heading to the United States in 2017, where he played for University of Massachusetts Lowell River Hawks and Seacoast United Phantoms. In 2020, he moved to Slovenia, turning out for NK Fužinar and NK Aluminij Kidričevo before eventually making the move to Malta.
