Malta international Paul Mbong has returned to Floriana on a permanent transfer after bringing his spell with Serbian side FK Čukarički to an end.
The 24-year-old midfielder had joined the Greens on loan in January last season, making 14 appearances during the Closing Round and scoring one goal as Floriana went on to win the league title.
Following the end of the campaign, Mbong returned to Serbia and resumed training with Čukarički. However, it was later confirmed that he was no longer part of the club’s plans.
The Maltese international has now returned to Floriana on a permanent basis after agreeing terms ahead of the new season. He is expected to be available for the Greens’ UEFA Conference League clash against Kosovo’s Drita.
