Matchday 3 of the Opening Round of the Malta Premier gets underway tonight at the Centenary Stadium, with Hibernians facing Żabbar St Patrick at 18:30.
Hibernians go into the match looking to return to winning ways after losing 1-0 to Marsaxlokk last time out. The Paolites had started their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Sliema Wanderers and will be hoping to claim another three points and build on the excitement surrounding the club’s new era.
After a busy transfer window, Hibernians have continued to strengthen their squad with young talent. This week, the club announced the signing of 18-year-old midfielder Ben Flavel.
Flavel holds Maltese citizenship but came through the youth system at Birmingham City, where he played at Under-18 Premier League level last season.
Żabbar St Patrick, meanwhile, will be looking to build on their first victory of the campaign where they defeated Birżebbuġa St Peter’s 1-0 in their previous match, following a 4-2 defeat to Valletta in their opening game.

The club have also continued to strengthen their squad, with the arrival of 23-year-old Brazilian striker Vinicius Mendonça. The forward joins on loan from Brazilian side Maguary and is expected to provide coach Gilbert Agius with another option in attack.
The last league meeting between the two sides ended in a 3-0 victory for Żabbar St Patrick.
