Ħamrun Spartans have strengthened their defensive options ahead of the 2026/27 season with the signing of centre-back Messie Biatoumoussoka.
The 28-year-old arrives at Ħamrun having most recently played for Bulgarian top-flight side Lokomotiv Sofia, where he spent the 2025/26 season.
Born in Saint-Denis, Biatoumoussoka holds both Congolese and French citizenship and has previously represented the Congo national team at international level. Standing at 1.89 metres tall, the left-footed defender brings considerable height and physicality to the Ħamrun backline.
The centre-back also came through the youth ranks at some well-known French clubs, having trained at Le Havre and Girondins de Bordeaux earlier in his career.

Biatoumoussoka will be one of several new faces at Ħamrun Spartans as the club continues to build their squad for the upcoming season under the ambitious plans laid out by president Joseph Portelli.
