Ħamrun Spartans bolster further attack with signing of Liberian striker Emmanuel Ernest

After reaching an agreement with ex Hibernians forward Lucas Villela, Ħamrun Spartans have signed Liberian striker Emmanuel Ernest, adding an imposing centre-forward to their attacking options.

The 25-year-old, who stands at 1.86m tall, was born in Monrovia and came through the youth ranks at Christ Ambassador Sporting Academy before embarking on a professional career.

His most recent spell was at Albanian top-flight side KF Tirana, where he made eight league appearances during the 2025/26 season.

Ernest has also represented Liberia at international level, earning six caps for the national side since making his debut in September 2024.

The right-footed forward brings experience of playing in Albania to Ħamrun Spartans and will be looking to make his mark in the Maltese Premier League.
