Gżira United have signed Ivorian striker Mohamed Fofana as a final minute transfer.
The 26-year-old centre-forward joins the Maroons after spending the first part of 2026 with Albanian second-tier side KF Iliria Fushë Krujë, where he arrived in January.
The new signing will now look to make his mark in the Maltese Premier League and add further attacking strength to the Gżira United’s squad who sit bottom of the table with no points from three games, same as Birżebbuġa.
Their next encounter will be against Floriana on Wednesday.
