Floriana have announced that captain Dunstan Vella has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2028.
The news comes after a memorable season for both player and club, with Vella having led the Greens to the Premier League title and lifting the championship trophy as skipper.
In a statement, Floriana paid tribute to their captain, saying that Vella “remains a central figure in the Club’s present and future,” fresh from his title-winning exploits. The club highlighted his leadership, professionalism and unwavering commitment to the green and white colours as qualities that continue to embody the values and ambition of Floriana FC both on and off the pitch.
Floriana also described Vella as one of the club’s most respected figures, adding that his continued commitment “represents another important step as Floriana FC builds on its recent success and looks ahead to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”

The club congratulated Vella on his new agreement and wished him continued success in green and white.
