The Malta Football Association has announced the appointment of Indrek Palm as the new head coach of the Malta National Beach Soccer Team on a two-year contract.
Palm arrives with a wealth of experience in beach soccer and a strong understanding of the game, making him a key addition to the Malta FA’s long-term plans for the sport.
During his playing career, the Estonian earned 53 international caps for his country and scored 13 goals.
Malta FA Director of Futsal and Beach Soccer, Mark Marlow, welcomed the appointment, describing it as an important step in the Association’s ongoing strategy to develop beach soccer.
Marlow said Palm’s experience, leadership and commitment would not only strengthen the national team but also contribute to the continued growth of the sport in Malta through player development and a clear long-term vision.
Speaking after his appointment, Palm expressed his gratitude to the Malta FA for placing its confidence in him.
He thanked the Association for entrusting him with the role of leading the national beach soccer team and praised the support and commitment shown by Mark Marlow throughout the recruitment process.
Palm said the Malta FA’s ambition to develop beach soccer at every level closely matches his own desire to make a lasting impact, not only by improving the national team but also by helping the sport grow across the country.
The Estonian coach will take charge of the national side for the first time at this week’s Euro Beach Soccer League Qualifiers, which will be held in Batumi, Georgia.
Palm, the players and the Maltese delegation will be aiming to make a positive start under the new coaching team.
