In the final hours of the summer transfer window, reigning Hamrun Spartans signed French forward Chris Marlon Ondong Mba, who has been playing for FK Mornar Bar in the top division of Montenegro.
Ondong Mba, a 31-year-old forward born in France but with roots from Gabon, has spent the past two seasons playing in Montenegro, first with Mladost and then joining Mornar Bar for the previous season.
This summer, Ondong Mba represented Mornar Bar in the Conference League, where the Montenegrin club eliminated Diano Tbilisi of Albania and Radnicki of Serbia, with the forward scoring two goals against the latter. However, Mornar Bar was later eliminated by Paks from Hungary.
Throughout his career, Ondong Mba has had various experiences in Belgium, Slovenia, Latvia, and Cyprus.
