Ħamrun Spartans are closing in on Nigerian defensive midfielder Jack Ipalibo, who trained with the squad on Saturday.
The 28-year-old most recently played in Portugal with SC União Torreense, having joined the club from Hungarian side Zalaegerszeg in 2025.
His appearance in training has raised expectations that a deal is now close, with Ħamrun continuing to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Spartans have been working to build a squad capable of challenging on all fronts, and Ipalibo would add physical presence, balance and experience to their midfield department.
Should the move be completed, the Nigerian would become another important addition to the Ħamrun engine room as the club continues its preparations for the new campaign.
