Gżira United F.C. have confirmed two key changes within their technical setup ahead of the new season, with Technical Director Marlon Galea renewing his contract while assistant coach Brian Chetcuti leaves the club by mutual agreement.
Galea has signed a one-year extension, with the club describing the move as a sign of “continuity, ambition and hunger for more” following the work carried out during the past campaign.

In a statement, Gżira praised Galea’s dedication and contribution towards the sporting direction and development of the club, adding that the focus remains on strengthening the squad and continuing to build ahead of the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, the Maroons also confirmed the departure of assistant coach Brian Chetcuti, thanking him for his professionalism, commitment and dedication during his time at the club.
Gżira said Chetcuti’s contribution alongside the coaching staff and players had been greatly appreciated, while wishing him success in the next chapter of his career.
