Former Melita FC football kits have found a new life with young footballers in Kenya after being donated by Atlas Insurance through Karibu Malta.
Atlas Insurance explained that, following its rebrand in 2024, its previous Melita FC kits were no longer going to be used. Rather than allowing the kits to go to waste, the company donated them to support Karibu Malta’s volunteering work in Kenya.
This year, while volunteering again in Kenya, Matthew from TeamAtlas was greeted by a group of young footballers proudly wearing the same kits.
The story highlights how sports equipment that might otherwise be left unused can continue to have value when redirected to communities that can benefit from it.
Atlas Insurance described the moment as a reminder of the impact of giving back and of how a simple donation can bring people together across continents.
