Mġarr United are set to continue their active work in the transfer market, with Owen Magro expected to sign for the club.
Magro spent last season with Pietà Hotspurs and is regarded as a versatile player who can operate both in midfield and in defence. His flexibility is expected to give Mġarr more options as they prepare for what could be an important season in the Challenge League.
The club are hoping to mount a serious bid for promotion to the Premier League next season, and their recent activity suggests clear ambition ahead of the new campaign.

The move comes during a busy period for the club, following the appointment of Andrea Agostinelli as head coach. Mġarr have already been working to build a competitive squad, with names such as Bjorn Buhagiar and Neil Pace Cocks also forming part of their plans.
The club have also secured important confirmations within the squad. Ivin Farrugia, a Malta Under-21 player, has joined the club permanently after spending last season on loan from Pietà Hotspurs.
Daniel Sant, an experienced centre back and a player who has already won several promotions during his career, will also remain part of the squad.
Kyle Frendo, an experienced midfielder, has also been confirmed and will now enter his fourth season with Mġarr United.
With Magro now expected to join and several key players confirmed, Mġarr are clearly aiming to give Agostinelli a solid and competitive squad as they prepare for the challenges ahead in the Challenge League.
