Żejtun Corinthians have appointed former Malta international Ivan Zammit as their new senior-team head coach on a two-year agreement.
Zammit, widely known in Maltese football as is-Sei, was born in Valletta on 17 March 1972 and brings extensive experience from both his playing and coaching careers. He ended his playing career in 2012 after last representing Balzan Youths.
Since moving into coaching, Zammit has worked with several clubs across the Maltese football pyramid. His managerial career has included spells with Balzan Youths, Gżira United, Valletta, Mosta, Marsa, Attard and Lija Athletic, while he also served as Valletta’s technical director and coached the club’s Under-19 side.
His most recent role was with Lija Athletic, where he recorded 19 wins from 31 matches during the 2025–26 season, averaging 1.97 points per game. Before that, he coached Attard and previously enjoyed a successful spell with Marsa.

Żejtun believe Zammit’s knowledge of the domestic game, together with his passion, commitment and experience, can help the club move forward over the coming seasons.
In announcing the appointment, the club wished Zammit every success in his new role and expressed confidence that he can make a positive impact on the senior team.
The two-year agreement gives Zammit the opportunity to build a longer-term project at Żejtun as preparations continue for the new season.
