Birkirkara FC have confirmed the signing of Brazilian left back Jefferson Vinícius as the Stripes continue to rebuild their squad ahead of the new season.
The 26-year-old defender arrives with experience in Brazil and abroad, adding another option on the left side of defence as Birkirkara look to strengthen a squad that will be expected to respond after a disappointing campaign.
Jefferson is a natural left back and will give the Stripes more depth in a position that has become increasingly important in the modern game. His arrival offers Birkirkara both defensive cover and an attacking outlet from wide areas, with the club aiming to build a more balanced and competitive squad.
The Brazilian came through the football system in his homeland before gaining experience outside Brazil with Ukrainian side Rukh Lviv. He later returned to Brazil, where he represented clubs including São Bernardo, Marcílio Dias and ABC FC.
Birkirkara said the player brings valuable experience from Brazil and abroad, with the club describing the signing as an addition that will bring quality and depth to the squad.
