Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is in contact with the directors of Inter, his former club, and wants to return to Italy.
Italian media have announced that Inter is the first option if the cooperation with the London team is interrupted, which seems likely at the moment.
Inter officials reportedly told Lukaku to be patient and that if the opportunity arose, they would do everything possible to bring him back to Milan.
Let us remind you that Lukaku spent two years at Inter and was the best player in the team. He is most deserving of winning the title of champion last year and returning the club to the Champions League.
During the summer, he moved to Chelsea, where he played very poorly. The disappointing game put Thomas Tuchel’s serious plans on hold, and the parting seems like the most realistic scenario.
The only question left is how much Inter would have to pay to bring in a new player. Certainly not the staggering 115 million euros paid by Chelsea this summer…
